Or how to go from Mr. Skinny to… well a little bit over… No, wait! Let’s say that he is in a VERY good shape …
Four months ago he was a very skinny poor little guy who found his way to our house in a last attempt to survive. Now, still learning to trust human beings, he has become a strong young boy with one passion in life: FOOD and especially cheese! As soon as I open the fridge, he rushes into the kitchen and sits down beside me, waiting for pieces of Gouda cheese, his favorite… but OK the guy's name is Vincent, right? Just hope that it doesn’t mean that he’ll lost one ear... a bit nervous when it comes to cat names, you know …

The temptation was too overwhelming... and I couldn't make up my mind so Jessica of http://www.supercat.se/ helped me to decide...
Both she said ... so both it will be!
Well I forgive her cause beautiful cats must have beautiful accessories for the shows, right?
But friends, be aware! Supercat.se is a dangerous place to visit ...

Yesterday we went to the show in Örebro, Sweden, to take Shaggy back home with us. After a very nice show and a very positive jugde report (even if Shaggy lost the nomination to his sister Daphne) we drove the two and half hours back home with a very tired kitten. But in the middle of the night Shaggy wanted to have all the attention of his human daddy and Anders had to leave the bedroom to be able to fall asleep again
Shaggy is a little crazy red bat! He wants to cuddle and jump at the same time... He reminds us so much of his father Batly and his grandmother Zoé ... Three generations of crazy bats living now in our home.
We are so happy and so proud to have this beautiful boy here with us. Thanks Anna!

Choosing the name of a kitten - pedigree name and nickname - is always so much fun. But sometimes I’m amazed at our choices and wonder what we were thinking about. Because do we really have to challenge the future? Just some examples:
I used to know a little Bengal girl called Nila Krokodilen and she was a little piece of work
...
Zoomie is totally speedy...
Batly the Bat does actually often look like Batly the Bat from Eureka Castle and would often say “I meant to do so” if he could talk ...
One of Fifi’s Devons is called Dino, and yes, he looks a little bit like one, in a good way for sure
Our Cornish Scooby really looks a lot more like the canine cartoon character than a Cornish Rex with two World Winners in the pedigree …
Bêtise is always up to mischief but is as sweet as a Bêtise de Cambrai too ...
Since we already have a Scooby, we have decided to call our new red Cornish boy Shaggy.. Scooby and Shaggy is the obvious association, right? and then you can read in the CRX standard: “Coat: Short, not shaggy, (…)“
Next time I really have to be more clever and go on with names like Keanu… who of course became a real hunk

Sometimes I really impress myself ;-) I've finally managed to understand how to export my Artisteer template to Blogger and to make it work! But obviously I still have to understand how to use Smilies and Emoticons in this blog...
So guys I hope that you'll enjoy visiting Bats among Leopards from time to time to read about cat shows, cat breeding and crazy friends and other small things that make our life so complete :-).
